Who we are

ChaturIQ (chaturiq.com) is a free website for learning SQL and practising interview questions, run by Mohit Khandelwal in India. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we protect it, how long we keep it, and how you can see or delete it. Contact: support@chaturiq.com.

Data we get from Google

If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares three things with us: your name, your email address and your profile photo. We ask for nothing else: no contacts, files, calendar, Gmail or any other Google data, and we never see your Google password.

We use them only to: create and sign you in to your ChaturIQ account; show your name and photo inside ChaturIQ (for example on your profile and, unless you hide yourself, the leaderboard); and email you about your ChaturIQ account and learning.

ChaturIQ's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI or machine-learning models, and no person reads it except to run your account, answer your messages, keep the service secure, or when the law requires it.

Data you give us while learning

We store your email address, your display name, your progress, XP and streaks, and any feedback you send, so the course can save your progress and so we can improve it. We don't sell or share this data.

We also record which pages of the course you open and when (kept for 90 days), so we can see which lessons help and where learners get stuck. Only the ChaturIQ admin can see this.

When you join we ask a few profile questions (where you are in your career, your target role, your SQL level, and optionally your college or company and city). Only you and the ChaturIQ admin can see your answers (unless you join the learner directory, below); we use them to improve the course and to understand who it helps. If you join through a friend's invite link, we note who invited you.

Your display name and your username (never your email) are shown on the leaderboard. You can change both on the My profile page, or hide yourself from the leaderboard.

Your display name (never your email) may also appear in the community bulletin, for example when you are a top learner of the week or pass a checkpoint. Hiding yourself from the leaderboard hides you there too.

Your photo is your Google account photo if you sign in with Google, or a photo you upload (shrunk to a small square). You can upload, change or remove it on the My profile page. We may remove photos that are inappropriate.

You appear in the learner directory on the Community page unless you switch it off on My profile. Other signed-in learners can see your display name, username, photo, headline (your current role and college or company), short bio, LinkedIn link, XP, questions solved, lessons finished and checkpoints passed. Your email, phone number and education details are never shown. You can switch it off any time.

On My profile you can also add your education and work experience, and optionally a mobile number. Only you and the ChaturIQ admin can see these. We use your number only to contact you about ChaturIQ, and message you on WhatsApp only if you tick the box that allows it; you can remove your number or untick the box any time.

To delete your account and data, email support@chaturiq.com or message the founder on LinkedIn. We delete it within 30 days.

Cookies and similar storage

We keep you signed in using your browser's local storage. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party ad trackers. We count page visits in a privacy-friendly way, without cookies, to see how many people use the site.

Who handles your data

Your data is stored with the service providers that host ChaturIQ's website, database and emails, only so the course can run. They process it on our behalf and may not use it for anything else.

We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it to show you ads. We would share it only if the law requires it.

How we protect it

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database rules let each learner read only their own private data. Only the ChaturIQ admin can see learner details, and admin access is logged.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account exists. Records of which pages you opened are deleted after 90 days. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and its data within 30 days.

Your choices

You can change your name, photo and what others see on the My profile page, and hide yourself from the leaderboard and the learner directory.

To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email support@chaturiq.com from the address you signed in with.

We sometimes email you about ChaturIQ, for example to help you get started. Reply STOP to any of them and we stop.

Children

ChaturIQ is meant for students and job seekers, and isn't directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update it here and the date below changes too.
